Everyone has a lived experience of COVID-19. These photos were all taken around April 2020 on 35mm black and white film as I wandered the coastal suburbs of Perth near my home walking my dog. The little things are what resonated. The silence of the streets, empty parks, taped off playgrounds, the teddy bears and rainbows in the surburban houses; worn offerings of mute solidarity to children unable to play and parents wondering about an uncertain future.
